Labor & Delivery Nurse












San Antonio, Ft. Hood, Killeen, Temple

The contract providers shall have the required experience and documented current competence in the specified clinical setting to perform the tasks and procedures identified in paragraph 5.  All nurses shall meet the following minimum qualifications. Shall have a Diploma, Associates or Bachelor's degree, in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as an RN in at least one state within the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.  All licenses must remain current, valid, and unrestricted during contract employment.

Possess and maintain current certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program.  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is also required.

Must possess evidence of continuing nursing education that contains knowledge and skills required in the specific nursing specialty.

Must have a minimum of one year of experience on a Labor and Delivery Nursing unit within the last three years.

Must have completed a minimum of 15 contact hours of continuing education on care of the inpatient obstetrical patient within the last 24 months.  Certification in In-patient Obstetrical Nursing preferred.

Fetal Monitoring.  Must have completed a minimum of seven contact hours on electronic fetal monitoring within the last 24 months.  Certification in electronic fetal monitoring preferred.












Medical Laboratory Technician












Biloxi, MS

Contractor personnel shall graduate from an MLT training program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) with at least three (3) years work experience in an accredited laboratory (i.e., AABB, CAP, COLA, DNV, TJC, etc.). Certification strongly desired (or must at least be eligible for certification) as an MLT by the ASCP, NCA, AMT, or state licensure as an MLT. Certified entry level MLT with less than three (3) years of laboratory experience would be considered with concurrence of 81 MDG staff.

Perform donor registration in the LIS and donor care for allogeneic, autologous, and therapeutic collections. Perform physical exam and evaluate medical history to determine donor eligibility.

Understand all immunohematologic procedures required for appropriate donor ABO/Rh (blood grouping and Rh factor) testing. Comprehend all donor screening test results to maintain quality of products and their effectiveness. Enter results accurately in LIS.

Perform component collection, processing, manufacturing, and labeling to include the preparation of red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, recovered plasma and apheresis platelets, and plasma.












Medical Technologist












Biloxi, MS

Contractor personnel shall possess a baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science (MT/MLS) or a baccalaureate degree in a related scientific field, with an internship in MLS, with at least five (5) years work experience in a laboratory accredited by a CMS approved accreditation organization (i.e., AABB, CAP, COLA, DNV, TJC, etc.). Must be certified by the ASCP, National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA), or American Medical Technologists (AMT) as an MT or MLS.

Perform donor registration in the Blood Bank Laboratory Information System (LIS) and donor care for allogeneic, autologous, and therapeutic collections. Perform physical exam and evaluate medical history to determine donor eligibility.

Understand all immunohematologic procedures required for appropriate donor ABO/Rh (blood grouping and Rh factor) testing. Comprehend and interpret all donor screening test results to maintain quality of products and their effectiveness. Enter and verify results accurately in LIS.

Perform records review, labeling, and lot release of all manufacturing records. Review documentation for completion and compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements; verify suitability of products released based upon review.











Phlebotomist










Biloxi, MS

Contractor personnel shall have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (General Equivalency Diploma (GED)) and have completed a phlebotomy course or equivalent on-the-job-training (OJT). Contractor personnel shall be certified by the ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent, and a minimum of one (1) year of phlebotomy experience within the previous 24 months. Certified phlebotomy technicians with less than one (1) year of laboratory experience would be considered with concurrence of 81 MDG staff.

Provide immediate care to donors and patients by recognizing adverse reactions to procedures and instituting immediate corrective measures.

Receive and interpret laboratory request slips, review request slips for required information, and determine the fitness of the patient for tests requested by the healthcare provider/physician (i.e., fasting state, liquid intake, medication, dietary instruction). Ensure specimens are collected in the amount and type of specimen required (e.g., with or without a particular anticoagulant) for each laboratory test. Enter test requests into the CHCS.








Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult)













Ft. Meade, MD

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) is required to be a Doctor of Medicine and to hold a current valid license to legally practice the specialty of psychiatry in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory. The psychiatrist shall have completed a psychiatric residency and be BE/BC (board eligible/board certified) in General Psychiatry.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) shall be competent to treat adults for crisis intervention and ongoing psychotherapy/medical management and able to effectively provide psychiatric healthcare services for patients and family members as it relates to family therapy.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) must possess a controlled substances registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) IAW the laws of the state in which he/she is licensed.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) shall be able to respond to cardiopulmonary arrests as appropriate and to arrange appropriate backup from the MTF clinical staff. At a minimum, contract employees shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) shall possess reasonable computer skills to facilitate functioning within multiple automated medical information systems.

 

The contractor must provide Prime Source Verification.

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) is required to be a Doctor of Medicine and to hold a current valid license to legally practice the specialty of psychiatry in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory. The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) shall have completed a psychiatric residency and be BE/BC (board eligible/board certified) in General Psychiatry. Child and Adolescent Fellowship training approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education is required.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) shall be competent to treat children and adolescents for crisis intervention and ongoing psychotherapy/medical management. The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) will be required to evaluate and/or provide clinical care to adults as needed.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) must possess a controlled substances registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) IAW the laws of the state in which he/she is licensed.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) shall have a Fellowship in Child Psychiatry to effectively provide psychiatric healthcare services for patients and family members as it relates to family therapy.

 

The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Child) shall be able to respond to cardiopulmonary arrests as appropriate and to arrange appropriate backup from the MTF clinical staff. At a minimum, contract employees shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

Neurologist












Ft. Meade, MD

The contract Neurologist is required to be a Doctor of Medicine and to hold a current valid license to legally practice as a Neurologist in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory. The contract Neurologist shall be BE/BC (board eligible/board certified) in Neurology. Fellowship training in neurotrauma is preferred. Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury is required.

 

The contract Neurologist must possess a controlled substances registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) IAW the laws of the state in which he/she is licensed.

 

The contract Neurologist shall be able to respond to cardiopulmonary arrests as appropriate and to arrange appropriate backup from the MTF clinical staff. At a minimum, the contract Neurologist shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

 

The contract Neurologist must possess strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to write and process reports quickly.

 

The contract Neurologist must be able to employ remote neurological assessment systems and other Web based measures as required.

 

The contract Neurologist must possess reasonable computer skills to facilitate functioning within multiple automated medical information systems.
